The Bench d’Or is a luxury log guesthouse located in the heart of the Naramata Bench – Canada’s most prestigious wine district in British Columbia.  The Naramata Bench is located on the east side of Okanagan Lake between Kelowna and Penticton.

 

Our name was inspired by the famous Cote d’Or wine region in the Burgundy District of France. Our elegant log guesthouse will take your breath away. The property is eclectic, with a casual European flair. The grounds slope gently towards the private pool with spectacular views of Okanagan Lake.

 

Formerly known as an acclaimed 5-star bed and breakfast, the Apple d’Or, the Bench d’Or is a 6,600 square ft log mansion offering four spacious suites, including an upper level Penthouse with private gated access and a separate outside staircase.

Each suite is unique, featuring custom elements such as private outdoor decks with BBQ, outdoor water feature, gas fireplace, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. Free parking is available for guests.

The common areas on the grounds include an outdoor heated salt water pool, hot tub, an indoor sauna and 2 lakeview gazebos, one with a gas fire pit.

 

Continental breakfast is included with your stay, courtesy of the on-site Bench d'Or café, which will ensure you start your day with a barista-pulled coffee (your choice of cappuccino, latte, or americano) along with freshly squeezed orange juice.

 

With over 50 wineries within 20kms, the choice can be daunting. We are happy to help arrange wine tours for you during your stay.

As a cycling-friendly property, services such as tire pumps, spare tubes and basic repair tools are available for guests exploring the area by bike. You can bring your own bike, or borrow one of our e-bikes. You can explore the wineries by bike, or visit the Penticton Saturday morning Farmers' Market. The nearby KVR Rail Trail will bring you straight into downtown Penticton. For the serious mountain bike enthusiast, the Bench d’Or is directly across the road from some of the best mountain biking in BC. Check out the 3 Blind Mice Trail right across from the property!
